Interface management in multidisciplinary EPC programs
Most EPC delays do not originate inside a single discipline. They originate at the boundary between disciplines, where design assumptions are made independently and reconciled too late.

Most EPC delays do not originate inside a single discipline. They originate at the boundary between disciplines, where design assumptions are made independently and reconciled too late.
An interface register makes those boundaries explicit: which discipline owns which data, when it is due, and what happens downstream if it changes.
Electrical, mechanical, civil and automation packages are reviewed against shared reference points, so a change in one package is visible to every package that depends on it.
Disciplined interface management does not eliminate change. It ensures change is priced, scheduled and approved before it reaches the field, instead of being absorbed silently as rework.
